MANAGEMENT TEAM
Guided by the
community that they serve, CDM's management team supervises the work of
the CDM team. This currently includes 120+ paid employees, 300+
AmeriCorps members and 400+ regular volunteers.
Larry James, President and Chief Executive

Larry became CEO in September 2004 after
serving as executive director for 10 years. Known in the Dallas faith, business and media
communities as a social entrepreneur and committed servant to the
people of East and South Dallas, Larry came to CDM after serving 14
years as senior minister with the Richardson East Church of Christ in Richardson,
Texas.
He is a graduate of Harding
University
(BA 1972), Harding University Graduate School of Religion (MA 1973),
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv 1977) and Tulane
University
(MA—American History 1986).
Larry spent eight months in 1998 as executive director for the Greater
Dallas Community of Churches but returned to CDM with a renewed clarity
that his place was close to the streets of
Dallas’
inner-city community. That community is also where Larry and
wife, Brenda, have made their home since 1999.

The Rev. Gerald Britt joined CDM in September 2004 to further his
lifelong work serving those around him. His pastoral and community
experience and wisdom are rich assets to CDM. Gerald oversees the
following programs:
A high
profile community leader for many years, Gerald has strong ties to the
political, faith and business communities of
Dallas.
These connections will be valuable to CDM as it reaches deeper into
South and East Dallas.
Gerald most recently served as Senior Pastor for the New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, located in the heart
of far South Dallas
. During his 22 years there, he led the church in significant growth
and organizational change. Through his work in the church and
surrounding neighborhoods as well as years of leadership in Dallas Area
Interfaith, Gerald has distinguished himself as one of Dallas’
most influential community leaders. He has been out front on many city
issues, from advocating for better care for Parkland Hospital patients to
increasing voter turnout in South
Dallas, among others.
Keith A. Ackerman,

Keith Ackerman became
COO in September of 2005, after serving as the Practice Administrator
for CDM's own Community Health Services (CHS) program since 2003. Under
his leadership, CHS' patient volume grew nearly tenfold -- up to nearly
20,000 patient visits per year. In 2007, the COO position transitioned
into the V.P. of Community Services role. Keith oversees the following
programs:
- Administration (including Human Resources,
Facilities Management, Administrative Support, Social Work Services and
Information Technology)
- CDM AmeriCorps
- Community Health Services Christ's Family Clinic
- Nurture,Knowledge and Nutrition
- Project Access
He is a 1995 graduate
of the Masters of Science in Social Work program at the University of
Texas at Arlington, where he also earned his BS in Social Work in 1993.
Prior to his work at CDM, Keith served as the Corporate Director of Human
Resources for Millwood Health, LLC. He also previously served as the Youth
Director for Saint Mark's Episcopal Church in Arlington Texas from 1996
to 2001.
His leadership
skills, technical expertise and experience in both organizational
management and HR will help CDM as it continues to grow over the coming
years. Keith is an active member of the Society
of Human Resources Management, the National Association of Social
Workers and the National Eagle Scout Association
and serves as the Troop Committee Chairman of Boy Scout Troop 82 in
Arlington, Texas.
Steve Palma, Chief Financial
Officer and Social Enterprise Officer

Mr. Palma brings a
wealth of experience to CDM from the corporate world where he spent his
career in finance, accounting, retail operations and real estate
development and held Controllership positions at J. C. Penney and at
Melville Corporation. Prior to joining CDM, Mr. Palma directed the
financial operations for the new store construction program, the new
store pipeline process and the property management functions for
CVS/Pharmacy (7,200 plus locations.) Mr. Palma directs both the
accounting and social enterprise functions at CDM.
